accelerated examination search
The USPTO has endeavored to establish a "fast-track" to patent issuance. The AE program is designed to provide final disposition of a patent application within twelve months. Applicants must file an Accelerated Examination Search Document (AESD) in compliance with 37 CFR § 1.98.
Our AE searches include line citations for each element of all of your claims, in compliance with the USPTO guidelines, which state:
"When applicant submits an accelerated examination support document (AESD), is applicant required to:
(A) cite all of the references relevant to the claims in an information disclosure statement (IDS) of the AESD;
(B) for each reference cited in the IDS of the AESD, identify all of the limitations in the claims that are disclosed by the reference specifying where the limitation is disclosed in the cited reference" (USPTO Accelerated Examination FAQ)
Our searches cover U.S. & Foreign Patents and Published Applications, International Publications as well as Non-Patent Literature in accordance with the guidelines of the PCT Minimum Documentation. After completion of your AE search, we will provide you with a completed Pre-Examination Search Document that can be directly filed with your application and information formatted to be placed in the Pre-examination Support Document.
Since the new rules went into effect, Envision IP has conducted numerous AE searches and has worked with clients to create a simple, intuitive format which complies with the USPTO requirements.
